Celebrating the 2023 Projections Managing Partnership (PMP) Summit

It’s been nearly a month since the 2023 gathering of PMP members and partners in Chicago, IL. This year, state projections staff from nearly every state and two U.S. territories joined in person and online to share best practices in developing state and local employment projections, discuss the future of work, and receive up to date training on the software needed to develop and share this critical data with the public.

Check out pre-recorded remarks from Steve Rietzke—Division Chief for National Programs, Tools, and Technical Assistance at the Employment and Training Administration (ETA)—on ETA’s work to encourage equitable access to good jobs through training and career pathways

To see updates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) delivered by Michael Wolf—Division Chief, Occupational Employment Projections—as well as recordings of the other PMP Summit sessions, visit the LMI Institute website.

Kansas Labor Information Center High Demand Report

Kansas Labor Information Center High Demand Report

The high demand list considers three measures of labor demand: current job openings, projected job openings over the next two years, and projected job openings over the next 10 years. The high demand list also includes an indicator for occupations with high wages. An occupation is considered high wage if the occupation has a median wage greater than the median wage for all occupations in the region. High Demand data is also available by the Career Clusters designated by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE).
