Voices of LMI:

Carol Rogers of Stats America and Indiana University

video

The LMI Institute has launched a new Voices of LMI initiative to showcase and promote the great work being done with workforce data around the country. Institute staff are currently conducting interviews with various LMI leaders and researchers to produce brief (2-3-minute) video stories of what different members and partner organizations do and how the work is being used to make a difference. Our next installment is an interview with Carol Rogers, the Co-Director of the Indiana Business Research Center at Indiana University.

“A lot of the people who were using our [unemployment] dashboard used it to help build coalitions—of hospitals, retailers, big businesses, government, the workforce office, higher education. They built these community coalitions around looking at where the hurt was…and trying to help people understand, ‘Where can we get help?’”
