2024 Accomplishments: Year in Review

Thank you all for a wonderful year at the LMI Institute! We enjoyed a busy year with exciting new initiatives. The Data User Insights launched with the goal of aligning state LMI shops and their data users. Cohort one of the Data User Academy partners with six states to work directly with their local and state workforce boards.

We loved getting to see many members at our two conferences this year, the annual LMI Institute Forum in Norfolk and the the annual Projections Management Partnership Summit in Denver.

Next spring we’ll launch a second cohort of the Data User Insights Academy working with states and their community college systems, as well as plan more convenings of the Roundtable series. Please be in touch – whether to share an idea, brainstorm, or just catch up.

These one-pagers are considered sampler platters with population numbers, unemployment, online job postings, major employers, personal income, employment and wages by industry, and wages by occupation group.

Kansas LMI has a very approachable webpage, showing quickly what products are available, and also why this information is useful to different stakeholder groups. One set of publications is called the ‘Economist’s Corner’ containing special reports. The most recent report is on the Aging Kansas Workforce. This report highlights the industry clusters most affected by the demographic changes in the workforce.
