📢 NEW: BLS and Federal Partner Updates 📢

<!–
<!–

We are introducing a new feature this month – BLS and Federal Partner Updates. Going forward, we will share timely news, developments, and updates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and other key federal agencies that impact our work.

Friends of BLS

The Friends of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) continues to advocate for adequate funding to support BLS programs. Last month we were excited to share that BLS received an additional $6M in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Continuing Resolution. In their most recent letter to Congress, Friends of the BLS urges Congress to continue this progress by increasing the BLS FY 2026 budget by 9% from FY 2025. This funding will be critical for BLS to advance data modernization initiatives at the agency. We encourage supporters to sign-on to the letter using the links below.

Data User Insights Academy

<!–
<!–

In March we celebrated the work of the first cohort of the Data User Insights Academy. Via a virtual convening each of the six state teams had the chance to share their accomplishments and lessons learned over the nine month academy process.

<!–
<!–

While the event marked the formal end of the first cohort process, this is just the beginning for these states’ alignment efforts. We are also excited to share that we recently began a second cohort of the Data User Insights Academy. Last week five state LMI offices, in partnership with community college and other education stakeholders, began working with LMI Institute staff on strategic planning. We look forward to following their journey and sharing all their accomplishments with you.
